Week 6: Learning Portfolio

Final finishes

The week started off with cutting our posters. Everything was as it should be and no unexpected elements were missing like last time. However, the saturation seemed a bit lower than on my screen so I wondered if it could be the code or the colors of the printer. I suspected the code since I had issues with exporting it already last week. I was also surprised by how big the size made any empty spaces look. Looking back, I would have decreased the blur on the middle-row and maybe increased the opacity. Overall, I was happy with the poster and was glad I could make something in a week despite my initial technical problems.

THOUGHTS

The presentation was inspiring and I think it opened up more ideas on how to pursue future plans whether it's exhibitions, coding or being in a collective. I really liked how physical art like textiles were in the focus. Getting to learn how to find opportunities and possibilities for that kind of work is nice, especially because I feel like we haven't really had that as much in previous courses.
